Prop 55 Extension

Breaking News!

Today, the California Attorney General’s Office issued the official title and summary for Initiative 25-0016.

The measure would permanently extend Proposition 55 (2016), which is set to expire in 2031, and impose increased income tax rates on high-income earners.

Proponents now have 180 days to collect the 874,641 valid signatures required to qualify the constitutional amendment for the November 3, 2026, General Election Ballot.
