Hours: Full-Time

What You Need to Succeed:

  • B.A. or B.S. required

  • 2-6 years of public affairs, government relations, advocacy, policy, or political public experience

  • Strong communication skills, e.g. – active listening, reasoning, presentation, and written skills

  • A team-first mentality - Swing Strategies is a “we” firm, not an “I” firm

  • Ability to think creatively and an eagerness to ask incisive questions

  • Experience writing across different formats – op-eds, press releases, social media, web content, etc.

  • A desire to grow professionally

What You’ll Do:

  • Build long-term relationships with clients and colleagues

  • Support senior account executives and supervisors in all aspects of client management

  • Manage workload to meet deadlines

  • Maintain regular communication with clients and colleagues

  • Prepare weekly reports for clients

  • Build coalitions for legislative and ballot measure campaigns

  • Write press releases, fact sheets, op-eds, social media content, text message copy, letters to the editor, presentation decks, website copy, etc.

  • Conduct and prepare background research for clients on a variety of policies

  • Develop media plans and content calendar
